Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) will be activating the Human Tissue Framework (HTF) under the Human Biomedical Research Act (HBRA) on 1 Nov 2019. Under this law, PIs are to register yourself if you are conducting any tissue banking activities. Penalties for infringement of the law could lead to fines and imprisonment.
RIEO is conducting a baseline survey to assess if NTU PIs will be affected by this new legislation, and if so, the mitigation efforts required to support and continue your research activities. RIEO will also take the completion of this survey (before 1 Nov 2019) as having registered with us to comply with the HTF regulations.
Please complete this short survey if you are involved in any of the below for any past, current, or future research (whether for your own research or with collaborators):
(a) the collection, storage, procurement or importation of human tissues;
(b) the supply, provision, or export of human tissue (including to tissue banks and networks).
Please refer to the definition for human tissues before proceeding. There is no need to complete this survey if you are not involved in any tissue banking activities.
If you have any queries, please email to irb@ntu.edu.sg.
[Your survey response is important, please indicate 'No' for Questions 1 and 7 if there is no collection/storage of HBM/Human Tissue.]
Section B: Please provide the information below.
Thank you for your participation.
